DENISSE FRANCO

Denisse Franco became involved with Carambola Community Music on March 2016 as part of a Service Learning Program through UTEP. Shortly after starting the program’s requirements, she was invited to become part of the staff due to her engagement and resourcefulness. Her focus of increasing Carambola’s social media outreach earned her the title of Social Media Director on June 2016. She graduated Summa Cum Laude on December 2016 with a Bachelor’s in Organizational and Corporate Communication at UTEP.

She is immensely grateful for her family’s eternal love and support. She would like to thank Maria McCullough and Yahvi Pichardo, who welcomed her with open arms and kind hearts. She considers herself lucky to have met such talented, devoted and loving people at Carambola who have made a difference in her life. Some of her favorite things about Carambola are: the availability of classes for all ages (kids, teens and adults alike), seeing the happy faces on everyone that walks in, the joy that is spread through sharing music and the love that is felt among families in our border community.
